(Fort Dodge, Iowa) - Decker Truck Line, Inc. is pleased to announce that Ricky Catherwood and Joe Holmberg have been chosen as the company's November 2010 Drivers of the Month.
Ricky Catherwood was selected as Driver of the Month in the Flatbed Division. Dispatcher Jerry Chapman nominated Catherwood, saying, "Ricky is a good worker and is always there on time." A 14-year Decker veteran, his hobbies include riding his motorcycle and enjoying time at home with his wife, Karie.
Joe Holmberg was chosen as the Reefer-Van Division Driver of the Month for November. Holmberg works out of the Fort Dodge Terminal. His dispatcher, Michael Kehoe, says, "Joe is a dependable and courteous driver. He communicates very well and anticipates situations that may arise while he is working." A family man with three children and six grandchildren, Holmberg enjoys fishing, football and vacationing in Branson, MO.
In addition to winning a Decker gift certificate, both of these drivers will now be eligible to compete for Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year. This year-end recognition of one driver from each division brings a 1-cent-per-mile pay increase for twelve months.
Decker's Drivers of the Month are selected by their dispatchers based on overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment, payroll, billing and customer service.
